Geothermal energy: Mauerstetten project
The prototype Terra Invader 350 rig successfully sank a well to a depth of 4,545 meters in Mauerstetten near Kaufbeuren in Bavaria. During this project, we were able to gain valuable experience for improvements and further developments of successor rigs. The pipe handling system and the hydraulic cylinder hoisting system proved their value with their high degree of control precision during drilling.
