GEOTHERMAL ENERGY PROJECTS IN GERMANY

Herrenknecht Vertical deep drilling rigs have a great track record in geothermal energy. Customers’ drilling crews have produced more than 56,000 meters of wells for geothermal energy projects in Germany with TI-350 Box-on-Box type rigs.

OFFSHORE JACK-UP OPERATIONS IN THE NORTH-SEA

In 2011, Herrenknecht Vertical entered the market of offshore deep drilling rigs with the TI-250 Cantilever rig. Its design focus on process automation and hydraulic systems has since demonstrated its superiority in safety and cost efficiency.

OILFIELD DEVELOPMENT
IN THE BRAZILIAN JUNGLE

Herrenknecht Vertical delivered two hydraulic deep drilling rigs for a large Petrobras oilfield development campaign in Bahia region, a poorly accessible and sparsely populated area of Brazil. The rigs’ hydraulically self-erecting substructure and mast systems enabled jobsite crews to swiftly assemble and raise the rig without heavy cranes – and numerous wells to be drilled.

SHALE GAS EXPLORATION
IN CHINA

Herrenknecht Vertical’s first deep drilling rig type TI-350 Slingshot was used in China. Its high level of automation allows precise drilling down to 6,000 meters with maximized safety and small crews. With its hydraulic XY stepping system the entire rig can be skidded to drill multiple wells from a single location.
